I’ve only shot one roll of FN 64, but was very pleased with the outcome. These shots look great, have you been using it much?

Scanning B & W is so much more difficult when it comes to dust...

It was probably like the 5th time through the scanner... I should probably go back and rescan it...

That would actually be fairly easy to clean up in pp: mask out the flower and stem, select hilights and fill with whatever gray works out best. Or more accurately (and tediously) with the clone tool. Some of my negs come out dust drenched and some clean as a whistle (most are in between). I find scanning them right out of the sleeve after wiping down the platen and a shot of compressed air helps minimize the issue.

Yep been there....a dust attracting cloth seems to help and do you have ICE on your scanner?

I do, but I don't think ICE does much for B&W.

Aperture has a "retouch" tool that is great for dust specks. It basically works like the spray can tool, but uses surrounding color and pattern to do the fill. It even clones the grain. When the dirt is over a complex background, its noticeable, but on images like yours it would be mostly undetectable. I'm sure adobe and others have a similar tool.

Edit: attached a quickie 2 minute cleanup with that tool.

Hahaha - I didn't read far enough down before I popped it into LightRoom for a quick clone-tool session. Also about 2 or 3 minutes spent here. Both do a great job.
(Sorry about the border @timw4mail ... it's in my export settings)
