I received some Tmax 400 bulk film that had expired 10 years ago. I had my doubts wether or not it will work as it had NOT been kept in the cold, but in room temperature. The light is mostly gone from this hemisphere so I had to even push it a few stops from 400 to 1600. I also read that you should not do this kind of push developing on rodinal... so I had very, very low expectations of the outcome..but -surprise, surprise- it works!

So, now I have 30 metres of b&w film for free!

I've never really liked HP5+. I didn't like the grain compared to Tri-x. I only ended up shooting it because I saw it for sale at a price I couldn't pass up on. Finally, on my last roll, I decided to shoot it at 200 and what a difference. The grain that I disliked was tamed and I got some nice looking negs.

Continuing my vintage camera fun, these are with a Contessa-Nettel Suevia 6.5x9 folding plate camera. It has a Rollex 6x9 120 roll film back. The camera is from the mid-late '20s, as it has a dial set shutter. Film is Ilford Delta 100 developed in HC-110. Somewhat antique look, the lens veils like crazy. It may improve if I take it apart and give it a good cleaning.

Cleaning out the attic I found a stack of 8x10 shots I took, processed, and printed in college in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan back in 1968. A bit crinkly and aged. This was football shot with a Pentax H1a with135mm, and a Canon FT with 200mm from right on the sideline. Our college "stadium" was a field with bleachers on one side in the woods up behind the dorms, at Michigan Technological University in Houghton. We played in the Northern Intercollegiate Conference (NIC). We really did shoot sports with manual focus, manual wind, manual exposure cameras and modest lenses. I got a shot of our place kicker. I remember hearing that the team kicked a field goal that year - the first time in many years. (But the technique had to change for the last part of the season. It's much harder to kick in snowshoes.)
These are just scanned quickly with default settings on my Epson 700.
