These things happen The complete lack of grain in the first shot was a give away for me but like I said, they are still great looking shots.

Thanks, hopefully I'll come back to this thread with some B&W film shots one day, I'm going through a CBA phase at the moment and eyeing off some film SLR's and rangefinders. The shots in this thread are really impressive, and the idea of film photography appeals to me.

I do love that cat portrait, Bill. Our coon took off when we moved, seems to be living a couple of blocks over, need to try to catch him....

I forgot you have the Autocord, love the deep range of tones.

Good luck catching your cat!

In spite of doing a lot of infrared work with digital (converted and unconverted Pentaxes) I haven't managed to really capture the look of IR film. These were on a Minolta X700 with a 24mm Rokkor and a Wratten 25 filter, on the now-discontinued Kodak High Speed Infrared film (HIE).
Nice IR shots. Yeah, good ol' HIE was a unique IR film. I liked you could get by with a deep red instead of an IR filter with it. And its highlight flare, which looks like grain migration without that anti-halation backing, was a unique characteristic.

Using the Kodak Signet 35 (1951) that has a 3.5/44 Ektar lens, Tessar design.

various film, home developed and scanned

All images uncropped, lens close-focuses to 2 feet. Bought the camera for $25
off ebay, built like a little tank (was designed for military use):

I've enjoyed this thread!

I also have a Signet35 but have not used it for many years - I guess I should put it back into service. Nice pictures from you Chubasco.

Here is a picture from last summer at a downtown fair - my son-in-law being dunked at the Optomist club booth as a fundraiser.

Taken with Pentax MX, Pentax-M 40mm f2.8 "pancake" lens + yellow #2 filter,
Tri-X processed in Rodinal, 1+100, scanned with Epson V500.

Super shot, I like it very much indeed. I hope you don't mind me saying this, but the horizon is just a touch off level which detracts a touch from an otherwise excellent shot. In fact, if it wasn't an excellent shot I wouldn't bother mentioning it!

Thanks, not a problem. I had not made such refinements as this was fresh off the scanner. I usually correct before I print. Silly me forgets.

Thank you as well Tuco.
