Excellent series with the HP5. I don't understand why some seem to bad-mouth the film, it produces nice tonality.
I think I've only ever shot 5 or 6 rolls of it but I think I prefer the grain of Tri-x 400. Having said that, I've just shot a roll of HP5 @ 200 which I'll develop this weekend so it will be interesting to see how that turns out.

My mission to find my preferred 100-ish ISO B&W film continues. First was the T-Max 100, now FP4+, and the Ilford Delta 100 is already loaded in the ME Super.

I think my MX is over-exposing though. I will compare the meter readings with other cameras, but it's more likely the shutter speeds, which have not been checked.

I feel I've passed a milestone in my 35mm photography - this is the first film I've run through that I like every shot taken (except for one where I left the lock off and it took a shot of the inside of the lens cap...)

These were developed in Ilfosol 3 at 25ºC, we're really reaching the upper limit for normal development temps here in Spain as summer lurches on.

These are all shots of Segovia.

And here are a few T-Max 100 (at 80) shots for comparison.

Thanks.

X-posted and another one processed yesterday. I took a nearly identical shot several years ago. I think it needs a really high tide to move it.

One solution for warm tap water is to use Diafine developer. It has one developing time for nearly all films in the 68°-85°F (=20°-30°C) temperature range.

it's always somehow pure, visually simple (ie : not fuzzy or messy), and what i like most, relaxing.
