Thanks, Phil. This shot was an especially rewarding one to take.

Hot catch!

I quake at posting here any longer, the quality is so good... so I'll go the opposite direction, with real grunge Oly XA2, Arista Premium 400 aka Tri-X, often shot at EI 800, and very approximately developed in HC-110 dil H, maybe something like 7 min but the developer was something like 24C.

I also love when silhouettes really work well as in Aurele's.
And I don't care if they only held 1 frame and had to be wheeled around on a cart, EVERYTHING looks great in medium format, something about a massive sharp image just makes stuff work. Course it helps when its a good image that actually has a lot of detail in it.
I'm really glad I bought the Beseler 23 series instead of the 45 series enlarger since its about the only thing preventing me from buying a used 645 for B&W work which I can't afford to even consider.

Here is one more from that cold (-10C) february morning. The first was shot at f/8 and a half and this one at 8 or 11, handheld (and I forgot to note at what shutterspeed? 1/125 or 250, I think). I have an extender for the battery, but the real problem with the cold was loading new rolls because of stiff fingers..

That School Bus shot is great. Full of outward bound energy from the center.

Thanks. I like it too mostly because it turned out the way I hoped, envisioned and metered.

You did very well, technically and esthetically speaking! The photo gives me a "phoenix rising" kind of vibe, which I enjoy in these days of doom and gloom.
