One from the scouting pictures at the dunes. Testing out what you get looking in this direction on those too sunny of days.

Amazing shades of grey! You really got that machine working for you Tuco (M7II or 6X7?).

Thanks you guys. It was just a handhold snap on my M7II testing out my highlight compression technique I've been working on. I think next time I'll take the Pentax 6x7 just in case. I want to try a polarize filter under these conditions and as you know rangefinders kind of suck at using a polarize filter.

Some of my first films produced as an aspiring photographer.
All taken on MX

(Apologies if scans are bad. They are from prints on an old scanner and I can't see the ACTUAL results as this monitor is on it's last legs)

Here are a few shots from last weeks outing, which happened to be my birthday. So to celebrate I took my trusty old KX which I’ve owned since ’75 and some of my favorite lenses.

Pentax KX shooting Kodak T-Max 400. Lab processing and medium resolution scans.

K28/2 with Orange/Red filter:

K35/2 with Red filter:

K200/2.5 with dark Yellow filter:

K15/3.5 with Orange filter:

Happy post birthday! The older we get, the younger we were, ha. Really nice results with good all-around tonal scale.

Thanks Tuco. Yeah getting older can be a challenge, wish I could get a CLA some days!

This is cropped from a 6x7 frame that I shot in January 2011. At the time I wasn't very happy with it but today I ran across my original scan and decided to play around with it. After cropping, I liked it a lot more so I did some work cleaning dust spots and some levels, curves, and contrast adjustments.

This is basically a large puddle that I used to drive by every week and in the morning, when it was calm, Mt. Mcloughlin was reflected perfectly in. At the time, my longest 6x7 lens was my 90/2.8 LS, so there ended up being more in the photo than I would have liked but I kinda like it now. One of these days I'd like to go back with my 200mm and try again.

Pentax 67, S-M-C Takumar 6X7 90/2.8 LS, Ilford XP2

Vendee, nice work with the M50 f1.7. The more I shoot it, the more I like that lens. Bravo.

Best,
Kevin

A few from this past weekend. San Francisco.
Canon 7n with a Canon 24-70L - Such a cheater camera but man does it focus fast. I was really impressed with it. The lens, however, took some getting used to. I don't use zooms and I really struggled getting into a groove with it.
Arista Premium shot at 200, developed in DD-X 1+4 @ 68F, 6.5mins. Happy with the grain, or lack-there-of. These are straight off the negative scans with a Canoscan 9000F.

Nice shots!

Abbesses is my old station, my flat was 100 meters from it (direction Sacre Coeur).
