A test shot. I still have a stash of 320TXP kicking around that I never use. I thought I try exposing it at EI 50 and see how it comes out. I didn't even meter and just used the Sunny 16 rule. The neighbor's dog was out so I went over and used him as a subject. I threw the ball up with one hand and shot the P6x7 with the other hand held down at knee-level looking down on the WLF. I dunno. It doesn't look as good as the 400TMY at EI 50.

P6x7, 45mm, f8, 1/250

Lesson in photography: I focused on the second horse, thus getting the first one's rump into focus. Should focus on the closer one, then the second one's head would still be within the zone.

Whether it looks as good as 400TMY is academic! What is cool is that you are shooting action with the P6x7 "from the hip" at EI 50 and doing a bang-up job at that!

You're too kind.

I really like 320TXP in sheet film but in 120 roll I never really cared much for it given the other choices.

Nesster: Really like the blacks you get from the Neopan.

Super Program / SMC 20mm / Ilford 3200

I need to peruse this forum a bit for scanning advice. I've generally let the lab scan the negs but they are routinely botching the scans, cropping the frame. My home scanner is terrible, as above

Thanks Henk!

I'm totally hooked again on shooting b&w. Tonally I'm not happy with my own scans. there are artifacts that are tolerable only when everything is pretty blown out..

Try to find a used Microtek Atriscan scanner. I use a Artiscan 2500f, excellent results and capable to scan even 4x5"
These where highend scanners when sold new (>$4000,-), but I've bought mine for approx $ 125,-
Be sure you buy one with firewire....otherwise you need SCSI and that won't work with Win7 64bit
