and one more from that morning. Some fog can still be seen in the background of this one. I really like the Kodak film.

Franka Rolfix Jr, 105MM Frankar, Expired Kodak Tri X 320 | Separado

This one was F16ish at 1/200 and zone focused at 14 or 15 feet.

Nice tonal scale. Is your expired film the older TXP/TXT or the newer 320TXP?

Thanks. Were your soft focus examples showing the min/max it can do or something in between?

The first shot was around f5.6 to f8 which is has the least amount of softness; f11 to f22 has no softness. The last two shots were around f4 which has the most softness.

I forgot to right down the apertures when I was shooting. Still need to do more testing.

Phil.

It is the newer 320TXP that expired in 2009, and it was processed in DD-x 1+4 for 8 minutes.

I was gifted several rolls of the stuff, and based on the results with the first roll, I am excited about shooting the rest.

Unlucky boat transport.
The supports where the boat rests on had some bad welding I guess :-)
Took this one handheld with the Pentax 67 and 105mm 1/60 sec!

Pentax MX First Roll

Hi everyone -

I just got a "new" Pentax MX and SMC Pentax-M 50mm f/1.4 lens (with UV filter) this past weekend. Here are some of the best shots from my first roll. All were shot with Ilford HP5+ and developed at The Darkroom.

You can see these and all the rest at my Flickr page:

I have a stash of 320TXP I picked up before it was discontinued. I use to shoot TXP a lot but I really don't care much for the new version of it.

I have been scanning some older TXP negatives of some friends on backpacking trips and hikes we went on to put together a memory book for us. I will post a few later.

Very nice series. The second shot of the bike is my favorite of the group.

Very nice results. I've had a roll of HP5 in my Mju for a couple of months, I need to finish it off. It doesn't have the same allure as an SLR.

Thanks montman. With this recent project of scanning some older pictures to put together a scrap book, I realize the people shots are the most memorable.
