Thanks David. So far I'm enjoying the Belair a lot. I've mostly been "testing", or seeing what the camera can do. If you buy one expecting to get professional quality medium format result, you will most likely be disappointed.
I personally enjoy the break from seriousness that the Belair provides. I can't even use the VF, so it's really just a big P&S for me.
The Belair does have an electronically controlled AE shutter mechanism, which is limited to 1/125s on the high end, and I'm not quite sure about the low end. With the batteries removed, the shutter defaults to 1/125s.
As for aperture settings, IMO f/8 is nearly useless, so I just leave mine set to f/16.
Also, the 58mm lens is not that good at all (IMO), so I leave the 90mm on all the time.
As I wrote in an earlier post, my copy (and everyone's) has had issues with film tension and infinity focus. I think I've solved the first problem, as well has helped the second problem, by putting some scotch tape on the inside of the back to acts as a pseudo pressure plate.
