yes the boats are black and there is tonality & detail
I just took a gander at the technical data sheet for RR 80s and that sounds about right. The characteristic curve does not flatten at the high end. Apparently it is capable of building significant density without loosing detail. Managing this property in the scan might prove difficult, however. Compensating development should moderate the density for the higher values.

I also took a look at the dr5 Chrome Web site. They appear to be real fond of RR 80s. I am looking forward to seeing your results from them.

I'm also looking forward to seeing how the Adox Silvermax looks as a positive, it's supposed to be suited for it.

Below is a photo with RR80s using a standard yellow filter (Y2).
I would be interesting also to see what a green filter does to the red with RR 80. It can come out really black with other films.

As a side note, I used a Pentax YG (yellow-green) filter on 400TMY and this gal's Halloween dress was really bright red too. I kind of like the tone it produced with this YG filter

Thank you, I'm surprised that it came out that well, since it was taken with a guess focusing camera

Thank you for those images, Vendee. Took me back to the week I spent in Bruges 12 years ago. Beautiful town.

The dune buggies were out in force over the Labor Day holiday. They went beyond their designated area. The spot I wanted to shoot was pretty tracked up so I just hiked back and only took a few shots of less interesting things.

More dunes all shot using no light meter. They are getting too predictable out in the Sun.

X - Posted in the Medium Format thread....

A couple from a concert in the park on Mt. Tabor here in Portland. The band is called Sasparilla, they have a rock, folk, blues, jug band type vibe to them. Homemade guitars, bath tub bass, harmonicas, and a chick playing a washboard/accordion. Really a fun band to watch.....especially when you're sitting in a park drinking beer

Shot with a Hasselblad 500cm and 80mm C T* on Kodak T-Max 400

Some pics with Tri-X in D-76 in a Ricoh FF8WR -- this copy looks like it is out of alignment, it goes all fuzzy on the left. Anticipating WR, this is a weather resistant 35mm p&s with a 28mm lens.

A snap with my ME Super and M 40/2.8 taken at the parking lot of a local shopping centre. Many people paused to comment on the hand - unfortunately with my guardianship over two young men in my own car I was unable to capture the passers by, and only was able to catch this one when my wife returned. Oh well...Serendipity - I'm sure there will be more opportunities like this when the Zombie Apocalypse comes. (ME Super / SMC P-M 40mm f2.8 / HP5+ @400 / D-76 1:1)

New pup. Some sort of Jack Russel Chihuahua mix I took away from a negligent owner. His name is Harold but everyone calls him Harry (Hairy).
