Which FED do you have David?

Ya, the flower does get a bit lost there. I originally did basically the same shot with my SV+ST55/1.8 and I've since done it with my G2+35/2 and my FED 3+I-61 L/D, just to see how they might compare.

I love it when people post scans from their vintage slides or negatives. Thanks for sharing!

I have a Fed2 with the Industar 26. I like the feel of it, and need to finish the roll. I downloaded a light meter app for the iPhone, and hope works reasonably well. Fun camera.

I hope it works for you. My experience with light meter apps for android is that they give readings that are all over the place and don't correspond well with those from my hand-held meters. The problem is that the apps for android pull the exif information from an exposed image, but do not account for the in-camera processing (potentially a lot) that is done post-exposure. Perhaps the iPhone apps work differently and better.

I bought my sister a FED 2 (type E) with a Industar 61 a few years ago. They are sweet cameras.
I rarely use any kind of meter when I'm using manual exposure cameras. It's to difficult for me.

Mine is a 2b and in nice shape, and I used to be able to shoot without metering--many years ago, when I shot B&W film 90% of the time.

Here's another from my FED 3. I think that the dark lower right was caused by the top/front of the leather case getting in the way
I was kinda astounded by the sharpness from the I-61 L/D in this photo.

I like your selective shots. I too have had the case block the lens in view finder cameras. One can't see the obstruction through the lens.

Especially embarassing when the obstruction is the lens cap...

I think everyone who shoots a SLR and rangefinder has taken a shot with the lens cap on their rangefinder at least once. And in my case, more than once.

Cool shot. I wonder if the piano works.

Here are some from a roll of TRI-X I shot with my Contax G2 and 35/2.
