First time shooting Kentmere 400; this in a Fed 3 with a Canon RF 50/1.8 lens. I looked up Rodinal, saw that 1+50 is 20 minutes at 20C. So I did semi-stand (4 instances of agitation), for 30 min, and at 17C (tap temp)....

By way of comparison, the same lens on a Canon 7, Tri-X in Rodinal developed with a normal agitation cycle

A standard Vancouver waterfront shot, but I had to try this new lens. Full open it's sharp and big enough to unfocus the background. I still amazes me that this old gear and bathroom-sink technology makes pictures.

Nice, I thought the scene looked familiar!

Nice to see your Tri-X in Rodinal. That's my formula too.

Thank you. It is 4x5" sheet film. I bought a Yankee daylight tank from B&H. Takes a ton of chems to fill (56oz per run) but honestly I think the process is more stable with higher volume tanks. For scanning I have an Epson V-700.
The Graflex is both a dream and a nightmare to use. I'm sure it'll become more on the dream side once I've run a few boxes of film through it. Right now, I feel like I need a pre-flight checklist to tick through for every shot.
Depth of field is in a word "WOW". You are constantly fighting for it and focus is unforgiving. I did a post christmas shoot with the extended family and ended up with one keeper out of 10 shots. I ordered a new ground glass focus screen for the back and am hopeful that will help a bit.

But I am hooked. It costs about $2 per B&W and $6 per color frame, but the results are priceless.

Now you know why the old movies always show the press photographers using big honkin' flash bulbs. The flash allows use of the requisite narrow apertures for adequate DOF. When using the ground glass you might want to consider a loupe for fine focus. The rangefinder might also prove to be useful if properly dialed in.

As for processing the 4x5 sheets, I was using the "taco" method in a 120 stainless daylight tank, but switched to doing four at a time in a Unicolor drum originally intended for processing color paper. For agitation I have the original Unicolor motor base. The drum can very happily manage with 13 ounces of HC-110 at dilution H (1+63).

The problem is that it can only sent via ground shipment and must be labeled as hazardous due to its being a VERY strong reducing agent. All is not lost, however. Freestyle will ship:
