Shot from the bridge, no doubt. Most of the north end Sound channels through there during the tides. The current can really get ripping.

Back in the early 90's a drunk tourist was on the bridge and is reported to be bragging it up he has jumped from higher. It's a frightening long way down when you're standing on the bridge. Or possibly the various whirlpools and severe currents. I am very familiar with the area from back in my marine botany days and had colleagues whose research required scuba in the pass. They carefully timed their dives for periods of slack water! I also remember running the pass at full flood in a 17' Boston Whaler. Whole sections of the surface 30 yards or more across would suddenly well up a foot or more above the surrounding areas. There were huge standing waves too. Woo! Hoo!

B&W cost so much to develope now (has to be mailed as well), that I seldom use it. But digging up pictures from a time it was the standard, I found this one which has been cropped and re-sized as an attachment. Plus X with a Retinette 50mmf3.5 view finder camera. The year early 1961

Pentax Super-A with SMC 50mm f1.7 - either A or M I forget which. I only had FP4+ which I rated at 400 iso to see what would happen. I assumed it would look awful, but I developed it in Microphen and it turned out really quite well.

This was at a hop festival in Faversham in Kent - a big town-wide piss up basically. It all started getting a bit nasty shortly after this, but for an hour or two the whole town was in that lovely happy drunk stage. I think these chaps might be local gypsies, but I'm not sure.

It's a sharp minidisc player, yes. Most of my others are Sony, and a couple of Panasonics. Recently I've been using the E510 for listening and the NH600 for recording

That looks fantastic for HP5+ on a 3 stop push.
