Thank you. This was a surprise shot on a roll. I don't recall taking it, only seeing it upon developing.

Some concrete here in Ottawa, shot with a K1000 and SMC-A 28mm lens. Surprising scratches in this roll, some day I'll figure out how to not scratch film.

F2A, Nikkor K 85mm f1.8, XP2:

I like the swirly bokeh and barrel distortion (or the "defects") of this old Nikkor lens. Sometimes flaws make a lens special

OK these are not great shots but they were tests I had done last year to check the supposed "incompatibility" between the Soviet lenses and Leica rangefingers, as some of you know a lot of people insists you need to shim the various Jupiters and Industars because they are calculated according to the Contax system and supposedly they are out of focus at close distance wide open, the first is taken with an early I61 at f2.8 with a Leica IIIb, BW400CN, about 1mt:

These two are taken with a collapsible I 50, same camera, same film.

In short...don't worry, shoot happy.

I dunno, but the focus point for the bird appears to be the right foot and the focus point for the sculpture looks to be behind the face at about the margin of the hair. That may be due to using a collapsible lens, but hard to say. The I-50 is what, f/3.5?

BTW...I really the tones and feel of the sculpture shot.

Have I mentioned lately that I love Shanghai GP3? Yeah, it's cheap and the quality control reflects that, there's often more dirt than better brands—but still less than the 120 Lomo—and I'm pretty certain the lack of adhesive on the end-of-roll strip has become a point of stubborn resistance for the workers at the Shanghai Photosensitive Material Factory, but when it works...

(To my dismay the supply of it has largely disappeared, and the price has shot up accordingly—and the quality control issues means it's definitely not worth more than $3 a roll. I don't know if the factory has discontinued it, or what.)

All these taken with my Meopta Flexaret Va, the first with a closeup filter:

Those are some really nice results. I especially like the tonality and the scene in #2.

Rainy day here today so I'm finishing off some scanning backlog of my ferry shots. More of the same...
