Chris
generally the effect and movements are much more subtle that you used. But yep, that's what the movements do.
and more, of course.
The crazy stuff happens on rear movements. :-)

Sweet photo. I miss all the high speed films... too many have gone

The camera, 1 Kodak Autographic Special Model A, was made in 1919 or 1920. The film, Holga 400, was made by Foma but with a stiffer, less good backing paper.

I rotated the front standard on my 4x5 on this older shot. I remember spending a lot of time trying to get both the chain and the boat's name in focus.

I wish I had known about film earlier to try Tmax P3200. Looked like a great film.

To get that the camera looked like this:

Chamonix 045N-2, Rodenstock Apo-Sironar N 210mm/f5.6, FP4+ @200, Diafine, X1 scans.

Chris
Yea! Chamonix!

Wow the photos on the last two pages are phenomenal. Tuco, that shot is incredible. I really like the tones and the simplicity in the shot.

I now have a working Flickr account and should be able to get some of those Bon Echo shots up. So here are a few. If they work I will post a few more.

edit they seem too big. Is there a way to decrease the size when I link them from Flickr or is the only way to reduce the size by uploading smaller images to flickr?
edit: Sorted it out

Thanks. Yeah, Flickr scales your uploads to a bunch of different smaller ones you can select.

Arrrgh. I was about to strip out the roll of Plus-X from my bulk loader and start over with a fresh roll, because of the scratches on the film, they just never went away, and it was making me angry.

I bought the loader, and the seller did not tell me it had film in it. I opened it, saw the film and closed it right away, the edges are slightly exposed, but generally it looks ok for developing.

I never used a loader before, and there are no instructions that I could find for this particular loader.

The scratches are being caused by the light trap. I had no idea that I needed to open and close that trap for every roll. I thought the locking lever opened and closed that trap.

I just watched a video that shows the Alden-74 being used properly and it shows that the trap is opened and closed on the bulk door and it needs to be done for every roll.

Now I have a fresh roll that should be unscratched, and I am gonna be soooo happy, finally.
Hi Mike, what kind of film loader is it? I just got a llyods winder... I don't see any way to open the light trap in it. Amusingly it came with film as well. Verrrry exposed film. :P

Mine is the Alden 74 which is basically the same as the Watson, Prinz and others.
Yours is a different design.
I am fairly certain that there are several videos and several textual break downs of how that loader works.
I did a quick google search and found a bunch of info.

Good luck!
