no - I meant conversion to mono - it was on the old K10D - looks a bit softer on PF than on Flickr

This was a bit of a forced conversion because of a large splash of blue paint on the tree, but worked out Ok, I think

Well, this is a lovely photo. However it is not a film photo.
I really don't care, but others might.
This is a "film" thread. :-)

I sold my Pentax MX in the early 90's for pawn, Regretted that ever since.
A few years ago, I managed to get one to replace it, but as I was getting into digital at that time, I set it aside, and then moved a couple times.
Recently i found it in a storage box, and grabbed a 35-70 lens and shot some frames. The meter does not work, tho I am certain that it did when I bought it. It will go for repair at some point. In the mean time, it still works without the batteries or meter, (Yay!)

All processed in Caffenol CH on Ultrafine Xtreme 400 135 home rolled.

A couple from my Pentax P3N, with the 35-70 also. All processed in Caffenol CH on Ultrafine Xtreme 400 135 home rolled.

Waiting for some 120 Ektar (Pentax 645N!) to dry, I thought to add a couple from the last roll of Pan F:

I'm beginning to like Pan F enough that it ought to take out a restraining order on me...

Canon AE-1.
Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 55mm f1.8.
Eastman Double-X.

Nothing but trouble with this film. Absolutely no contrast in any of my shots, just a fairly heavy greyness, and I'm having to try and fix them on the scans. (This is a fixed shot.) Don't know if I'm exposing the film poorly, or if it's just old and badly fogged.

Some feedback about the Kodak double x 5222 distributed by FPP? | APUG.ORG

"I have shot a lot of Eastman Double-X but from a different source. It is a very nice film rated by Kodak as finer grained than Tri-X. Since it is intended as cine negative film to be printed on contrasty positive stock [emphasis added]. Kodak suggests the use of a special developer D-96 and a lower CI. For still camera use you can use any developer you wish and should use a CI appropriate for your use. I use HC-110, use a CI of 0.65 and rate the film at an EI of 400."

That might do it, yeah.

I'm not souping my own film, so it's possible the lab is doing something off in the development.
