Been distracted by the K-1 for the last couple months, but finally got to develop 2 rolls. As good as the K-1 is, film is still very special, felt great shooting and developing again after a little break.

This was an industrial area in the early (mid?) 1900's. A lot of contaminated soil, it's slowly being remediated, in the meantime it's a weird scene. :P

I didn't really catch what my minds eye captured for this scene, perhaps a panorama would be better suited, or a 50mm lens. I believe this was taken with a 28mm.

Some more from 1980 here. Firstly the tunnel leading into Fort Marlborough on the south shore of Cala de San Esteban. This fortress was dismantled under the terms of the Treaty of Utrecht:

It was plain to see where the blocks of stone to build the fort had been cut:

(do note the SEAT version of a Fiat 126 in front of the house!)

The bride:

and this was how we explored the island:

I worked at the old EB Eddy paper mill for a co-op term 16 years ago now. Domtar had bought EB eddys by that time. I was just home to Ottawa visiting my mom over the summer and biked by the Lebreton flats and the old paper mill. Things keep changing in Ottawa so quickly. Although I guess they have been talking of putting condos there for a while.

It's a great capture. We've got a similar -ish field visible from the SRT just before Lawrence where they demolished a sprawling block of warehouses and piled up giant pyramids of earth. Keep meaning to go up there with a camera.

More RPX 25. I think my bulk roll is starting to go off, it doesn't have the sharpness I got from early rolls of the stuff. Regardless, fun results. This stuff should come with a huge warning: nearly no range for over exposure.

Cool, I was wondering if anyone here would have some connection to the area! Yeah, there's a lot of construction going on in town. Lot of areas laying dormant too though.

Thanks @dsmithhfx , I'll have to go back and experiment more. I bet if I could get into the middle of that field I could get some neat shots, but not likely to happen!

If you do get those shots, post them up. I'd be interested to see them!

!
When I'm able to use Panf I use a Weston and zone system, more normally with 400ISO sunnyside/16.
Slow film has less dynamic range.
I'd suggest tempering to wash water if you can see a resolution difference

The area looks a lot like False Creek in Vancouver, before they "cleaned" it up for Expo '86. The soil was contaminated by all the old industry that used to be in the area and now it's all expensive condos. Most people have no clue what the area used to look like and the toxic waste that covered False Creek!

An IR photo I took with RPX 25. f11 + 1 second. I managed to scratch the negative quite a bit in the sky, cleaned up a fair bit after the fact, there is still some banding.
