The second one is a seated Buddha, yes.

The first is a statue of a Roman youth(?). (Someone Roman, at least, and the bit of hat visible means it wasn't one of the busts of an emperor.)

I like the double results very much. Pity there weren't more successfully finished.

Local shop's started stocking Arista.EDU Ultra films, which are just rebranded Fomapan. Having recently run out of my stock of Fomapan 200 and not yet gotten around to ordering more, I picked up a few rolls.

Even without having known in advance what it was, it would have been obvious from the moment I opened the box: the band, the backing paper, even that particular smell that Foma's 120 films have... Not certain how careful they are with quality on the rebadged stuff though; red window advance on this camera, and it came really close to having the last frame fall off the end.

As for the image: shot from the hip, estimated distance — thankfully this Nettar has a huge DoF even at its widest apertures. Just a pity about that guy in the background messing up the composition a bit.

Zeiss Ikon Nettar 517/16.
Novar-Anastigmat 75mm f6.3.
Arista.EDU Ultra 200.

Downtown Camera.

They're more expensive than ordering Fomapan online, but without the month+ wait for it to arrive.

I like dealing with them and don't mind a bit extra on some film if it keeps them open and not absorbed by HENRY'S like all the others in that area were

SMC-M 28/f2 - I'd heard good things about this lens, and the price reflects this, but holy moly it's sharp!

A pair from my Kiev. It tears film sprockets, leaks light inconsistently (see photo 2), and the shutter speeds seem more like rough guesses than actual speeds — but there's something about it that makes me enjoy using it.

I haven't used my Kiev 4A for over a year.... because of the light leak. Mine is on the actual shutter curtain somewhere. Shame really as I love the Jupiter 8 lens and the look it gives. I've sometimes thought about sending it away for repair but it would cost about 3 times the value of the camera. It would be a lot cheaper to buy a "serviced" Kiev from the Ukraine on ebay.
