Mr. Wembley, it happened again!

So, remember back in January when I shot a roll of Neopan 400 only to find out it was already exposed? Well, a few weeks ago I bought a roll of Neopan 400 from a completely different person. Anyone care to guess what happened?

The images didn't line up quite as nicely as the previous roll, but at least I wasn't pushing this time and roughly a third of the roll was still unexposed.

Fuji Neopan 400.

And, from a different roll:

Canon T70.
(Possibly Helios-44M?)
ORWO NP15.
(Expired 1992.)

Ha ha ha - I think you need to re-think your strategy on where you buy your film.

Maybe people think that because Neopan 400 is discontinued it can't be developed any more?

Took only my MX with a M28-50, attached loaded with a roll of Delta 400 to a nearby wildlife area this morning, leaving the much heavier K-1 & DFA*70-200 at home. Had a lot of fun doing film only......got to leave the K-1 home more often

In this case, the latter was quite possible. The guy I got this one from told me he had transitioned to digital years ago and asked me questions about whether you could still develop film.

I think, mainly, I'm going to have to stick to films that still have their boxes or risk these occasional surprises.

The film canister should indicate whatever processing the film needs. I have some Neopan 1600 and it says right on the canister "Film for Black and White prints." Which means B&W chemicals.

It's amazing how clueless non-film types can be when it comes to the history of photography -- which is film!

It's the same unfortunate cluelessness of modern (digital) - or better said, non-analogous raised - people who stare at a tape recorder and ask if thats a turntable. Well, how should they know? However, from people working in the photography business, one should exepct some understanding of what he's doing. But then it's go and get good staff...

Ignoring everything that happened before ~1910 ? Photographic technology has been in a state of constant flux from its beginnings.

Nice shots! (I didn't even know the Royal York had a clock in the lobby. I walk by it all the time, but never have a reason to enter it.)
