Realising just how much Rodinal I have stuffed into the back of the chemistry fridge, I decided I had better start using it up, so I did today's roll of Pan F in it at 11 minutes in 1+ 50.

It is hard to say what they used. They hand-develop B&W, and may need to adjust their technique. I suggest you take your negatives in for them to assess. It may look different on direct examination of the negative, but your scan only shows about 3 stops dynamic range, if that.

Steve
They actually still have my negatives. Haven't been back to pick them up. I've been wanting to check if they have the new Bergger Pancro, so this will be a good excuse to make it over there.

Oh, yeah, and when I make a rare appearance at Blue Moon, some of the help even recognize me.

If so, they're probably one of the few in North America who have it. Last time I checked, my local shop hadn't even been able to get a response when they inquired about it.

I took it to a lab, Blue Moon Camera. Not sure what they used. But they sell and shoot JCH, so I figure they know how to handle it.
Did they scan it too? 'Cause their scanner might not have been recalibrated for the jch's 'unusual' characteristics (judging by go26r's images and comments, and your own results).

I had a roll of acros 400 dev+scanned by a local lab (TO Image Works), when I picked it up the lab tech told me it had been overexposed by 4-5 stops, and the scans appeared to show that, but the vast majority, shot in hard midday sun, came out fine in PP (I use the same metering for 400 color negs and intentionally overexpose by 1-2 stops):

SP supertak 50/1.4 Acros 400, likely f8|11 1/250 (my default for 400 in direct sunlight)

Yes, Blue Moon did the scanning too. Another good reason to stop by and have a chat. I really wanted to like JCH, but like go26r said, it's not cheap and HP5+ suits me just fine.

From the same roll of expired Agfa APX 25... except I really missed the exposure... but managed to make something of it nonetheless.

Experimenting again ... xpost

Kodak Ultramax 400 color film developed as B&W in Ilfotech (14 minutes). Taken with a Pentax Spotmatic F + SMC Takumar 24/3.5 near wide open + scanned with Espon V600 ... a few Lr4 adjustments. Film. Is. Too. Much. Fun.

Very good! Do you know the place? I moved here from the UK in 1985.

Only vague memories, as I probably haven't been there since the early '90s. Most of my relatives in the area live south of Truro, so it wasn't a usual stop on family roadtrips.
