Making cookies when daddy has three cameras on the table...

The K1 version of this is in the 'everywhere a prime' thread in the lens topic...
https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/10-pentax-slr-lens-discussion/291019-pri...prime-176.html

This is the MX version, with the same Rokinon 85mm f1.4 wide open on XP2.

An experiment again with expired AgfaColor 100 (expired 2005 and acquired super cheap at my thrift store, so lord knows where this film has been) ...

Here I used an untested Olympus mju II that I picked up for 5€ at a boot sale. Home developed in Ilfotec LC29 for about 9 minutes and scanned with an Epson V600 ... again, for fun and the experiment.

These turned out rather well. Did you try any in c-41 proc?

Thanks and no C-41 yet ... but I still have 3 rolls left, so there's another possible project.

Cheers, J

Sometimes color scans of regular c-41 Fujicolor 200 look better being converted to black-and-white.

If it's anything like the other expired Agfa films I've used (HDC, Optima, and maybe another), expect the results to have a bit of a yellow or orange tone to them.

This set (like the previous ones with Ilfotec) all have a "brunt orange" tone to them and are very much curling in all directions, so the scanning may be a bit dodgy ... I need maybe to invest in a pair of plates for the V600 or just give up on this expired film in any serious future endeavors. Cheers, J

It is interesting to compare these two, particularly since the 8x10 was done with a paper negative. The results for both are impressive.

Yes, the Summarit on XP2 is nearly as good as the Schneider Kreuznach on Russian Galaxy paper. Looking at the scans at 100% the difference is plain, but squeezed down to 800 pixels, pretty close.

When two people have to sit through a few iterations of a 10x8 photo they don't look so good. Chamonix 10x8, Schneider-Kreuznach Symmar-S 360mm/f6.8, Galaxy Hyperspeed @ EI 50, one Impact strobe and one Impact continuous CFT light, Ilford MG Developer, Epson V850 scan:

Stick a pitchfork in it and it would be done.

This little fella stayed in my hand long enough for me fiddle with my camera settings with the other hand. :-)
