Yes, I know that, but what I'm wondering is if the shutter speed dial is coupled to the meter. In other words, when you change settings on the dial, does the meter show this? It does with the X570, but not with the X700.
I'm not really sure. I think I've only used it in AV mode.

After a quick play, yes the manual speeds (on the Minolta X-370) are meter coupled. The current selected speed shows a blinking line, whereas the metered speed shows up as a solid line, or two solid lines, if in-between speeds.

Part of a display window one of the local stores had back in June, hence the diagonal reflection lines across the image. I recall this being a particularly low shutter speed for the focal length, so I'm surprised it turned out as well as it did.

I waited for someone to walk by the building for a human element but my patients ran out.

Very nice!

Funny how that happens, when you don't want anyone in a shot people just keep coming, when you do nothing........

If you kept them in restraints, you wouldn't have this problem.

Well, so far so good, although I took this photograph with it and I'm not convinced if it's the aperture of the lens (about f5.6), the almost-overhead sunlight or the lack of dynamic range of the AgfaPhoto APX100 film I was using that led to the washy grey area in the middle foreground. Now you've mentioned it, I'll pay more attention to the aperture I use.
It's the lens hood! Or lack of one. I've just run a colour film through my ME Super with this lens on and the common factor is the position of the sun. 52mm lens-hood on order as I type...

A rare case where I didn't find the 135 too tight for an urban environment.
