I believe it's officially a "velomobile", but yeah, basically a recumbent trike with an enclosed housing for the rider.

In collage I worked on a human powered vehicle project where we competed against other schools across the country. There was a top speed contest and a Le Mans type course. We had a full body fairing but took it off for the Le Mans course. We concluded the fairing was just dead weight for speeds under 30MPH and the heat build up inside was a bit too much for a long distance race.

Thanks Phil. I did a little bit with curves in Photoshop to help a little but I'm not so much interested in the scan than the wet print when I next get into my darkroom. I do love this lens though
