Great to see so many folk still using film. I was chatting to a couple out on a walk last week and when I told them I was using film they asked if you could still buy it !

These photos are all brilliant, thanks for sharing! I like how busy yet composed they are.

Very nice grain and tones. What species are thos small hominid skeletons?
Thanks! I believe those are fetal specimens, they're pretty unsettling to see in person.

And thank you too! It was pretty hard to move in that museum for all of the bones and fossils they have out on display.

I just got a strange notion for a new thread that is doomed to fail. How about one for straight comparison between scans of an actual film image and a simulation of the same subject, hopefully taken at the same time?
That is an interesting idea. I am not quite sure whether I either - want to do this - or really don't want to do this. It might be a bit of a rabbit hole.

They look fantastic. Were they toned, or is there white-balance thing going on?

Thanks! I'm quite happy with both - I'd like to try printing the lion again with a bit more contrast for a dramatic effect. It's a white balance thing, the waterfall is a bright white in real life. My phone loves to "tone" prints - it was a bit late to bother dealing with it.

I made two prints of the waterfall, I'll likely sepia tone one of them, and selenium tone the other.
