I'd say that the fogging is probably about 2 zones worth on the 9 zone scale.
That said, I just dev'd a 1984 roll of Agfapan 100 last night and there's at most one zone of fogging on it, if even that.
Okay.
For an idea of extremes of current film, here is what I measure for film base + fog density where fog is from developing and environmental factors.
Delta 3200: Base + Fog = 0.34 density
Rollei RPX 25: = 0.08 to 0.10
Old roll Plus-X I have = 0.20
If you have any of those developed films you can compare your older film on a light table to visually see if it is more or in between them. I think they pre-flash Delta 3200. That's why its blacks are really never that deep. Typically, zone 1 density goes from base+fog to 0.10 density above it. For delta 3200 that would be a density of ~0.44. And for RPX 25 would be a density of ~0.20. So Delta3200 deepest black is like zone III level of black on RPX 25.
