I quite like it. Shoots like regular film with no filtration but give it a dark red filter and its IR film like. I got some nice shots in NYC last October with it. I don't use it that much as it is a bit pricey...
A bit late to comment: I haven’t shot SFX 200 but Rollei Superpan 200 should be very similar in terms of spectral response and is not too expensive if you can find it.

My poor old £4 flea market find K1000 has sat on the shelf for years while I tend to reach for my smaller and better speced MX and ME Super. So I decided to dust it off and put my last roll of Rollei Retro 100 through it. My K1000 actually seems to meter more accurately than my MX and ME Super. Shame it doesn't have a split focus screen or I'd use it more often. My eyes aren't too bad but not as good as when I was younger.

I snap up Tech Pan whenever I spot rolls of it, and then just keep it in the fridge. So I decided to change that and actually shoot one of them.

If they still made this, I don't know if I'd shoot anything but.

Agreed...though I would add Panatomic to the mix if it too were available.

Trying one of my last few rolls of RPX 100 with D-23. This film has a base + fog density of 0.30. That's a lot compared to RPX 25 which measured 0.05 on my last post. This is about the fastest sports action I can capture with this camera.

Football should be a natural for the GX617. After all, it already has a face guard.

LOL.

Notice how the face/helmets seem to be rotated looking at the camera.

Too bad it was so hazy. The image isn't very sharp. Shutter speed was getting pretty slow. I certainly need more practice with this lens.

Even so, it's cool to see that you're out using that monster of a lens.
The longest I've shot with is a 400/5.6 on K mount and it brings different technical challenges to shorter lenses.
