Not taken with a Pentax, but here's a pinhole photo I took recently, printed last night.

Shot a pinhole image this afternoon on Pan-F with a red filter... only a 26 minute exposure. I hope I got it right as I didn't fancy bracketing it!
And here it is...

Hello All,

I found a few rolls of 1976-expired 2475 Recording Film (RE135-36) in my freezer; I couldn't resist and thought I would give it a try. I walked through the neighborhood with it loaded in my Yashica TL-Electro, metered at ISO 50 to blast through the expected fogging. I had very low expectations and when I saw the results, I was so surprised! I thought the film would be totally black due to the fogging, but there wasn't nearly as much as I expected. The images scanned well.

Yashica TL-Electro
50mm f/1.9 Auto-Yashinon DS
HC-110B developed normally at 8 minutes, Pakon F135 Plus scanner, minor PSE adjustments (NO sharpening)

I tried that film back in the early-mid 80s, treating it like any daylight film rather than something better suited for night surveillance. When I printed it it came out like rough grit sandpaper.

That’s for sure, even Kodak in its tech data (I.e., the Professional Photoguide) lists it as “Coarse” grain and “Moderate” resolving power. I used it a lot in the late 70s, maybe the early 80s and had the same results but was adequate for the tasks at hand, usually stage or night sports applications where flash was either not allowed or impractical. TMax P3200 was/is an improvement in all aspects, but also has a different look.

Since to my surprise this film is at least somewhat usable, I’ll be thinking of some fun projects for it.

This is a terrible (and un-manipulated) scan of one of my favorite photos... shot around December 1993 in a McDonalds in Paris. Ilford HP5, probably my Pentax KX though it might have been my MG, 50mm, no filter. Plan is to get a decent scanner and hopefully dig up this negative so I can scan it properly.

Shot this at the same time, under the same conditions. The guy above was my best friend and this is his sometimes-girlfriend, who regarded me as an impediment that must be tolerated as my friend and I were pretty well inseperable. If I recall correctly -- and I probably don't -- her words just before I clicked the shutter were, "If you take my f---ing picture I'm going to f---ing kill you." I think you can read it in her face. PS, I lived to shoot her picture again.

Apologies for the lousy scans -- did these years ago on a flatbed (from the negs) with no manipulation and no time to clean everything properly. Hoping to buy a 35mm scanner and do these and others right...let's just hope I can find the negatives!!

Nice
And yes I can read that in her face. In this case I think it makes a fairly striking portrait though.

One of the only times I honestly put my life at risk to take a photo. Well worth it.

Taking new gear for a test spin. A true panoramic camera projecting a 24x66mm frame on 135 canister film. And finally shooting up old stash of 1991 expired FX 403, Panatomic-X. It has been a really long time since I've shot and processed 35mm film.

Noblex 135U, Noblar T 29/4.5, FX403, PMK Pyro

And one from a roll of expired Acros I also had in the freezer.
