Thanks. I'm really enjoying my foray into pinhole photography. Funny to think it has been a busy day if I shoot four or five frames!

Last ORWO NP20 I did in RODINAL 1+50 was under-developed . The Rodinal was now a ' Dark Brown Colour' with Crystals at the bottom -- so I gave it a 'test' -- I microwaved it gently at 50% for 45 secs several times, trying to break up the Crystals as I did so . It got quite 'Warm' ! I cut the short length of ORWO NP20 rated 50 ASA in my Chinon CG-5 and processed in RODINAL 1+25 for a 'Guessed' 10 mins @ 20oC and got GREAT NEGS !! I could have rated the outdated film faster at 64 ASA even . I have scanned just TWO to show you . I will use up the rest of the 'Brown Microwaved RODINAL' now ! THIS one was using my SMC Pentax-A 24mm f2.8 to see if I could 'Hand-hold' it in dreadful light at f4 -- I think I managed it -- got 1/15th second.

Here I used my Pentax 'K' fit VIVITAR ( Komine made) 135mm f2.8 at full aperture f2.8

Now I have some 1993 dated HP5+ on the go to see how it compares in Brown Microwaved RODINAL 1+25 to FX-15 1+1

Oculus. Pentax ME Super, Ilford SFX 200. I'm not sure if this is with the K15/3.5 or the K17/3.5 fisheye. I suspect the latter.

Why is this called a "folly"?

It wasn't a real castle. It was built as a ruin in the grounds of Wimpole Hall so that the view from the house, across the artificial lake (also built by Capability Brown) was of this "ruined" castle. More locally, the original Medieval church in Ayot St Lawrence was partially demolished to create a Romantic ruin. A new church was built in a Greek Revival style, again where it could be seen from the main house. Having a landscaped park with Romantic ruins and classical temples was a big thing amongst the wealthy in 18th century Britain.
