I find it is not easy to consistently develop my film to 1/3-stop of precision. So I'm curious how people ascertain 1/3 stop film speed ratings when they don't measure the density of their BW negatives. Printing on a fixed grade 2 or 3 paper is one feedback method but most people are scanning these days I think.
I have some RPX 25, of which I've shot a couple of rolls but I'm not sure I've developed them and if I have they went straight into the storage sheets. I haven't had time to scan anything in over two years

As for the sensitivity, I have nowhere near the technical knowledge to establish such things so I rely on (a) reading what other people state on the internet (a very dangerous game these days) and (b) seeing at what sensitivity I get results I like best. For the latter, I haven't shot enough to really say and the curl factor keeps me away.

I'm with you, I let others do the heavy lifting, and copy what I see as best I can.

My Contax IIa was lost for half a decade or so and was found just before Christmas in a box of discarded ornaments. This shot is from the first roll after all of those years - 50 f2 Sonnar on HP5.

What do you think of Pancro 400 in 120? I've shot a few rolls in 135 and I'm not convinced that I like it.

That is crazy! Glad you found it!

"Honey, have you seen my Contax?"

"Did you check the box of broken Christmas ornaments?"

I do love the St. John's Bridge. Good work! You lined it all up perfectly.

I've had a similar response. I've shot it in both 135 and 120 now and when it's great it absolutely sings, but I can't always get consistent results with it.

That said, I currently send to a lab for developing, so I'd prefer not to form a final opinion until I've developed a few rolls myself.
