Before smart phones, I could call many people with numbers from memory. Today, I think the only number I have memorized is my own.

I can still remember my parents and grandparents phone numbers from the 1960's despite having moved away over 40 years ago. I know my current home number (because its very memorable with repeating 7's & 5's) but I still don't remember my own mobile number despite having that number for over 15 years.

That sounds familiar. I remember numbers from my childhood, but now I know my home number and my mobile (only because I have to type it into web pages sometimes) but almost no others.

It's a handy tool. I picked that one up at a garage sale for $35 bucks.
