Battery door missing. Anyone know where I can buy one?

Hey, just picked up a P30 at a bootfair. It's not in great condition, and the screw-in battery door is missing. I checked, and it's the same as the one on my K1000. Identical fit. Does anyone have a spare, or know where I can pick one up? Nothing on ebay...

Your best bet is to buy a junker body that has a cover intact.
Check with camera repair places. They might have a few sitting around also.

I have spare battery cover for Program Plus and ME Super, wonder if they’d fit. Sorry I don’t have a K1000 w/ me to test out …

Is it a screw-fit one to cover one of those small button batteries? If so, would you mind just measuring the diameter?

I don't want to buy a 'junker' body, as this is a 'junker' body... Then I'll have two hanging around taking up space, and I'll have just moved the problem on...

People on eBay are clearly stripping these cameras and selling the components for stupid money. Someone wants £20 for a battery door! That's more than I'd pay for the camera...

Yes, they are the screw on type, as all the other Pentax manual cameras. I have SPF/ME/ME Super/Super Program and LX w/ me right now, but I just don't have K1000 to test. It's hard to measure the diameters accurately... I'll try to find a way to test it. If they fit, I'd send you one.

Thank you very much frank. I imagine if they are standard across all those cameras they will fit the P30 and K1000 too.

Sorry I checked the battery cover for these cameras, they are not really interchangeable w/ K1000. I think even K1000 itself, the earlier version and later version have different battery covers. Sorry about this. If you need spare parts for ME/ME Super/SuperProgram/ProgramPlus, I'd be glad to help
