Mz-s ae-l

Hi Guys
The AE-L button on the camera and the battery grip seem in-operative. I know they work as they bring the camera out of sleep mode but they don't activate the lock. I think I must have changed something somewhere but can't find what. I can over ride the setting if necessary but I'd rather use the AE-L. Any ideas?

You can find in the manual, page 109, how to reset all Pentax Functions of the MZ-S.

Are you pressing the shutter button halfway to activate the meter before AE-L?

Does the little star show up in the viewfinder?

Shantz, thanks, I reset the functions and it works again. I think it was F6 which over rides the AE-L button.
Aegon, no it didn't then, but thanks for input.
