K1000 on the way!

Something similar happened to me. A two days before my birthday a month ago I spotted a Pentax LX for the equivalent of 15 USD on ebay. I bid and no one else did

Great day birthday present! It's pretty used but no sticky mirror and I took four rolls so far, works nicely, even in low light with b&w ISO 400. Nice getting back to basics after digital overload.

I get my K1000 batteries from Walmart, They come in a 3-pack for about $7. I think it's a 357, check by the watch batteries. I have a package at home, I can get the exact numbers for you if you PM me to remind me.

Yes that's what I found-$7 for a 3 pack at Walmart. But the camera has a problem-sometimes the mirror sticks in the up position after a shot. So I won't be using it until it gets repaired-don't know when that will be.

It will likely cost you about $75 plus the shipping to him, but it's totally worth it to get your camera back to 100% full working order. It could cost more if there are other problems. He'll replace the light seals, check the shutter speeds and adjust as necessary, fix the sticky mirror, etc.

Thanks pentaxk1000denver. I'll consider it when the time comes. Can't do it now-just bought a K-r, and have been dealing with LBA lately
