Just the KX and Super Program at this point, though I suppose I could submit the three Ricohs as honorary Pentax. (...or the Pentax as honorary Ricohs...)

The trouble is once you start collecting, you try to complete the set. At the moment I am also collecting older Practica/Pentacon, Retina and Braun Paxettes as well.
Which is why I'm careful not to say I collect them

I also keep telling myself that many of them I can fix up and sell on, just for fun (there's not much profit in this, at least for my approach to the subject) and to make others happy. I've sold so far: 1 lens, 1 spotmatic.

At yesterday's camera show I think I showed some admirable restraint. I do NOT need yet another 35mm SLR... so I left a few nice black Spotties, a black SRT 102 + 58/1.4 lens, oh and countless others alone. But I did walk out with a Zeiss Ikon Contessa 35 - pic's on the no love for rangefinders thread.

Sluggo,

Where did you buy your parts (the motor) for the MZ?

My collection has picked up a bit lately since learning the ZX/MZ mirror motor repair, as I've been buying a number of junkers from that series, which cost about nothing. After some test rolls through the most recently repaired ones, I might sell a few off.

I have 3 K1000's, a ME, MV and a zoom90WR point and shoot. Also a couple other K-mount cameras, a Sears KS Super and a Ricoh KR-5superII. All were picked up at flea markest, yard sales, Salvation Army etc. The most I paid was $30 for a pristine K-1000 with 2 Pentax lenses, flash, case, and filters. OUCH! that hurt.

I have to say that while some of these polls are at times not so interesting, this one has had the effect of making me feel not so crazy. I love the shot of the shelves with old cameras on it. Wow, it is definitely time to sell some gear.

It would be interesting/scary to see the poll results for Pentax branded lenses. I’m sure some of us are hoarding quite a few.

Hoarding? I don't have three M50/2's because I'm HOARDING them, but because they ain't worth selling! There's a difference between hoarding and "being stuck with". Ah well, they keep some cameras from looking naked.

I definitely collect 6x7s - I've got all the bodies except the Marine and the Japanese Railway edition and all of the older lenses other than the 600, 800 and 1000.
I definitely collect MXs - 9 bodies and all of the accessories apart from a short soft case (one day...)
I've got almost all of the other K & M series cameras, but mostly bought very cheaply in non-working condition. When you are shipping stuff from the USA to Australia it often doesn't cost any more to throw a few extras in the box. I'll gradually get the rest but I'm not actively chasing them. I'm not interested enough to spend $100 on a working camera that will just sit in a display case, but $10 - $20 for a broken one that looks the same is fine. The only mint condition cameras that I own are my K5 and 67II, everything else is a bit scruffy and that is just fine with me.

Why isn't there a Pentax 50/55m f/2.0 "Budget" Lens Club? IMO these lenses are quite underrated.
At current prices they offer perhaps the most "bang for the buck" of any lens, in any mount.

1 ME, 2 ME Supers, 3 ZX-Ls (two of them had quite a markdown, so I got them just in case). Six total.
