K120/2.8 Like New on auction site

I'm tapped out for now but maybe one of us would like this lens for $300

Very nice for collectors. But M&A100, K105, K&M120, K&M&A&FA135 appear too close. And today's DA50-135 takes care of that in a faster, prettier colors and cheaper fashion than all combined... But again, I like my rarer K150 f4 too...

Already got the SMC-Takumar version. It's a sweet lens. I wonder if they kept the optical formula in the K version.

The 120 is a nice lens, but I wouldn't pay $300 for it. I picked one up at used camera store last fall for $120 with a good warranty. It has turned out to be among my sharpest telephotos, so I'm happy. It fits nicely in a kit of primes (mostly K)with 52mm filter size that I've been putting together over a number of years.

OTOH, if I was going to spend $300 on a medium telephoto, I'd bite the bullet and go for a modern fast zoom.

Yes to all of the above - but for a collector it is rare enough that the PDML lens reviews don't even mention it. There are a few on this board who collect K lenses, trying to acquire all of them. Which prompted my recent addition to my signature line.

+1 for the K120/2.8, I paid alot more for mine than the BIN price on the eBay auction, so for me it’s not a bad price. Too bad the case is not included. I confess I bought mine from our old buddy Kevin at “Kevin Cameras”, so ….

Good for you!! Glad you got it. Looks like a very nice copy.

I just have to sell a 105/2.5 Macro to finance my LX - I know the feeling.
