KX with Motor Drive?

Hi
I came across this on ebay. Has anyone seen one like it before?

Pentax KX Motor Drive + FILM MAGAZINE + Grip + Charger FIRST TIME ON EBAY MINT | eBay

Cecchis book states that the KX never came to market with a motor drive..

A very nice camera.. How on earth can I afford it??

The author is incorrect. A KX Motor model was indeed made, but it is rare.
FWIW the so-called "motor drive" barely manages 2 frames per second.

The KX is otherwise a terrific camera, my first and still favorite Pentax body.
Save megabucks by contenting yourself with the standard, nonmotorized model.

That does look like the rare motor drive model. You don't need the expanded film canister to use the motor drive, BTW.

Pentax KX Motor - Manual Focus Film SLRs - Pentax Camera Database and Reviews - DSLR, Digital, and Legacy Cameras

And yes, this is archaic technology that's borderline useless by modern standards.

250-film magazine

I have read that the 250-film magazine on the KX is actually the one made for Spotmatic. But I can't recall seeing a Spotmatic with a bulk-back?
