If I recall correctly, the aperture lever only needs to get shortened for FF Canons. The mirror on others is small enough that it won't hit the lever when the shutter is fired.
I'd love to keep the 50mm f1.2, but I don't have a pentax dslr and I don't want to "mangle" anything to make it fit my canon. It's now listed on ebay and ending on Sunday. I don't have an ebay account myself, so my friend's doing this for me (I provided the photos, the description and will do the shipping). Have a look, maybe you can get it at a good price.
