Yeah, our Staties aren't really known for their sense of humor. I did manage to remember to take a copy of the ad with me, just for backup!
I'm originally from a small town 'up 309' north of Philadelphia. Glad you got home with our loot without any trouble.

Then you have an idea of what was running through my mind on the way home. I'm sure things would have been straightened out eventually, but standing on the side of the road, staring into the eyes under that "Smokey the Bear" hat is not my idea of fun! Thanks for the kind wishes....I'll take good care of our loot!

Be gentle with the flash. The old ones need time with FULLY CHARGED batteries to build up a charge and reshape the innards. Old capacitors need time but can be brought back "to life" if you are patient. I have both an AF16 and an AF400 that were given up for dead that work just fine every time now. Good luck and have fun with that kit.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll take it slow with the flash. I'm pretty sure the "have fun with that kit" part will take care of itself, but I'll make an extra effort anyway! Have a great night!

It's a habit for me....bought and sold lots of stuff through CL. It's probably the 3rd site I hit every morning while I'm working on my first cup of joe....

Easy, go back to the gentleman, and give him another $150.

If I had another $150, I would have offered it to him. He had been trying to sell the kit since last January, with no takers. All he wanted was to get it out of his closet, and for it to go to a home where it would be used, not put on a shelf. He was completely satisfied with the deal.

I'm sleeping fine, the poor young guy is gainfully employed, and driving a new car....I am not....on either point. The seller and I are both satisfied with the transaction, not sure why you are not.....
