Sigma KAF3 mount lenses on Pentax film Cameras

I've just bought a Sigma 50mm F1.4 HSM for my k7 and was planning on using it also on my Pentax super A.

The lens does mount on the Super A although it is much tighter than on my k7. but it dosn't communicate properly with the body. the minimum aperture in Av mode that the super A will register on the LCD is F5.6.

This site suggests that the Pentax KAF3 mount lenses work fine on the Super A: The Pentax Camera Lens Compatibility Chart

Has anyone else had a similar problem using KAF3 mount lenses on film cameras?

if so is there a solution to make them work properly?

i use the DA*55 on a SuperA, and it work well.

I bet the fact that it's a Sigma lens make the body misread informations.

did you try to change the speed to 1/1000 in dim light to see if something change ? Because in fact SuperA has no direct Av mode, only Tv mode. So change the speed to change the aperture.
