Advice on used equipment pricing

Hello,

This is my first post to what seems to be an extremely knowledgable community. I am going to be parting with my film camera set up and would appreciate advice on valuation on the package.

What I have is:

- Pentax P3 camera body
- Pentax K1000 camera body
- Pentax-A 50mm f2 lens
- Pentax FA 28-80mm f3.5-5.6 lens (silver)
- Sigma UC 70-210mm f4-5.6 lens
- Pentax AF280T Flash
- Skylight/UV filters for each lens
- Several other miscellaneous filters

All of the above is in excellent condition. I owned everything since new except the K1000 camera body which I bought because it was a pristine example and worked well for long exposure astrophotography (i.e. star-trail photos).

Any advice for valuation of the above as a complete package or as components would be greatly appreciated.

K1000 should get you, at least up here, in the $200-225 range.
AF280T should go for $120 or so.

you might want to hang onto the lenses a while longer, they will all work on a DSLR.

Where are they paying 200 for a K1000?, I would be interested in sell mine at that price....I am serious

By "up here" he means CAD, camera gear is quite a bit more expensive here than it is down in the US. Even used stuff normally goes for a decent bit higher than it would in the US.

If some of you get me a buyer for a mint K1000 for 200CAD I would give you a 15% of the value. You can be lucky here if you sell it for more than 50 USD

I recently bought a nice AF280T off ebay for about $56 shipped.
I think you would be lucky to get $50 for the A 50/2 on Ebay, probably less.
Maybe $75 for the K-1000 and usually they are sold with a lens to get this much. Heck, I bought a Super Program in great shape for $77 and that was the Buy it Now price.
I don't know on your other items, you should do a completed auctions search on Ebay to get an idea on them.

Eaglerpids has those about right and the 2 zooms are worth in the $50-60 range. The p3 about $30 or so.
If you decide to use Ebay, make sure you list stuff seperately. A lot with everything will get much less.

I bought a 50 A f2 on this forum a week or so ago for 25.00 + shipping to Canada, under 30.00 USD. As to the K1000 200.00 ? I sold one for 50.00 not to long ago. there are lots of people listing them on kijiji and craigslist for crazy prices with a couple of lenses but if they sell? Henrys lists them around 200.00 so knock off 50-75.00 if you talk to them for more then 10 min. And that's a retail dealer.

As noted the lens will work on a DSLR so if your thinking that way. You have a ready stock of glass.
