Pentax repair experts - MX repair gone astray!

Hi

So here's the story so far - overconfident after repairing a few lenses I'd picked up, I started taking a battered MX apart to take a look at a curtain problem. All that was wrong was one of the curtain cords had come off it's roller, basic but fiddly. I had a bit of a struggle getting it back together and should have left it alone once I was getting tired and not concentrating, instead I dropped it and when catching it, put my finger through the curtain, pulling it off the roller! *Swear word*!
It's now been sitting in a corner for a couple of weeks as I've been too grumpy with it to have another look.

I'm going to have one more go, otherwise I'm going to scoop the pieces into a bag and donate it to someone or sell it for parts.

- It looks like I could carefully glue the curtain back to the roller without dismantling things further but the roller is spring-loaded, so would it be possible to glue it in the slack position and then somehow re-tension the roller?

Also the wind advance seems to have jammed and I'm not sure what bit hasn't reset but anyway it's going nowhere until the curtain problem is solved, so one thing at a time.

Be very grateful if you can advise.

(Oh and I'm not sending it to anyone for repair, it's fix or auction.)

Yes, I suppose I could donate it to Eric for parts...(!)

I already have a working MX, it's just not worth it to me to pay for a repair.
