two good reasons to return to this forum:

1) an smc pentax-m 50/1.4 modified so it can use an m-mount adapter. it resides on my bessa r2m. and yes, it is rangefinder coupled. wow, what a lens ...
2) because of that lens, i nabbed an ME Super from KEH and an smc pentax-m 50/2. the lens cost only $14. it is a stopgap until i find a nice 50/1.4. but it turns out, it is a very nice lens in its own right.

couple of samples.

The photos are nice, but the best reason to return to the forum is all the great people here.

By cropping to isolate the boy in the first shot could also be an outstanding variation! Depending on the film, even half a 35mm could provide plenty of data depending on the treatment.

thank you, gents. les, the far right of the horizontal shot holds keys to remind grandma and me where this was - in a vw microbus that is part of the decor at the cafe where we were. i do agree, my grandson would look even more fierce without my granddaughter in the frame with him. i might have to crop a square middle from the frame just for sport ...
