auto 110 Super

hope this is in the right section...

just picked up a very sexy Asahi Pentax auto 110 Super with a couple of lenses, (18,24,50mm f/2.8) autowinder, AF130P flash, and nice leather case.
Saw it in a second hand antique store and HAD to buy it. I didnt realize how difficult it was to get 110 film (have to order it) and im not sure where I can send it for development yet. I would love to hear from anyone that has or has had this camera as to what quality of picture it takes. are the lenses decent? it doesn't have very much in the way of adjustment, although the Super model DOES have a bit of EV adjustment from what ive read. Im actually a little excited about getting some film in this camera and taking some pictures with it. Im not expecting anything nearing professional quality from it, but hopefully it is a decent little camera.

I have no experience with the 110, but I know where you can get the film developed if you don't have a local option. Check Dwayne's Photo ( Their order form shows 110 developing and prints (no CD option).

Best of luck with your new acquisition!

Hi, Pix,
I have a set of 110 lenses but no body.
The M43 format is almost exactly same as the Pentax 110 film size.
I made an adaptor for M43.
The -110 18 mm stays on the camera most of the time, focus is " set near infinity and forget".
Today 7 year old son did some portraits. (I put the camera on tripod and left him to it)
This one iso 1000 1/30 sec, bit of aberration against the window there, maybe overloaded sensor rather than the lens.

Film is out there...

Lomography has 100iso black and white and 200iso color.
Fukkatsu 400iso color and they hope to add more soon.
Adox claims they may still come out with 110 film.

Just ordered some B&W and color film from, and a camera shop just a few minutes from our house said they can develop it.
hopefully all goes well and I will see what this camera can do in a week or two.

I recently shot a roll of 110 on my little Pentax, the first time in probably a decade. Had to send it out of town through London Drugs. Get to pick it up today as it is finally back. They are a neat little camera, too bad that the best film for them is not available and by that I mean the latest Kodak colour negative films.

With your iso 200 film be aware that it will probably overexpose as theses cameras are set up with two speed options (ie. high or low) and meter either for 100 or 400 speed film. That was the case with my auto 110 anyway. Don't know if the super is any different. Enjoy shooting, I used to love mine.

I've been looking for a 110 film size developing reel with no luck as of yet. If anyone knows a good place to find on, or if substitutions with modifications work well, please let me know. Don't know about developing color film though.
