Hello I am hoping somebody can help me,I volunteer at Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice nr Sheffield in the UK and I deal with selling donated items online,usually through ebay,but I need to find how much a Pentax A3 camera is worth,it comes with an additional long distance lens that has the part number950384 and f=80-200mm on it any help in a rough price to ask would be most appreciated thank you

Hello and welcome! Not wonderful news on the A3 camera I'm afraid - it's not worth much. I would say £10 would be fair. You could price it at £15 and see how it goes. Does it have a lens attached to the camera? What is that lens?

Re the additional 80-200mm lens, we really need to know the full text written around the front of the lens. For example the text on the lens below that says 'SMC PENTAX-M zoom 1:3.5 28mm - 1:4 50mm'



It is likely that the 80-200mm lens is a Pentax-M or off-brand lens worth only about £20 but you never know!

You might find the camera to be more useful if you buy some film and take fun photos or even have the (older) children use it before selling it off. That way you at least find out whether it works (which is important for determining its worth) and maybe have some fun and interesting memories captured on film. Though, I don't know what the rules regarding photography in that institution are.
