The annual SOVREN event at Pacific Raceways in 2003, the theme that year was Trans AM.

A 1968 Penske Sunoco Camaro.

Is that a Lotus in the background? It looks similar to a car that I photographed at the concours in Vancouver a few years ago.

Yes it is and maybe it was. Most of the cars at the SOVREN meet were West coast cars.

Strange how if you hang out at the various car related places, you start seeing the same cars. I was at the LeMay museum in Tacoma last week and they had the same Ferrari 166 Spider Corsa that I photographed a few years earlier at the same concours in Vancouver.

Legendary car builder Smokey Yunick built this Camaro that was campaigned in the Trans Am series.
