Pentax MX
Pentax LX
Pentax 6x7, MLU, meter prism

I use them all, although the film bodies are all fairly recent purchases.

I've got three fairly new purchases (only got back into film recently), a Spotmatic, K1000, and LX. All have film loaded right now and seeing use, along with a K200D.

Have owned & used in this order:

MX
MZ-30
K100D
K10D
LX.

Kept:

MX
LX.

Like the MX's size, shutter noise, easier to read shutter speed in VF. Also like how all speeds are mechanical.

Don't like the hard-to-turn shutter speed dial, the meter seems unresponsive at slower shutter speeds in dark venues (always reads underexposed even in the 1/8th and below range), and the focussing screen is darker and grittier than LX.

Prefer the LX's brighter focusing screen, easier turning shutter wheel, more comprehensive meter display and more sensitive meter. Also dig the auto mode and EV comp for longer exposures. And the handling with accessory grip.

Don't like the EV comp lock, and it can be difficult to see the blue shutter speed flag in the viewfinder. Metallic 'ping' after tripping shutter not so svelte.

Also don't like the sticky mirror that my first CLA didn't take care of, but it's in Eric's hands now.

Hee.

Active duty roster is as follows:

Canon F-1N (the 'New F-1,' for you non Canon types)
Canon A-1
Mamiya 645 1000s

Semi-active:

Caon AE-1P (awaiting CLA for notorious squeak, but serviceable)
Canon FTbn (in need of shutter tuning and battery conversion, but unstoppable)

Pentax ME Super (New acquire, likely good to go as soon as I put in new foam, (note to self for tomorrow)

Projects:

A couple of Canon FTs (Hoping to get a live meter between them)
Canonet G-III QL-17 (About ready for testing once I check seals)
Kodak Signet 35 (needs shutter lube for some temps: if you know, it needs no explanation... )

I don't see that many people around here with SuperPrograms, why is that? . . .
LBA is hard enough to deal with, I don't want to add CBA into the mix too
That's a good question, especially since it is one of the few true manual bodies that support ttl flashes and "A" lenses.

I also soooo want an Auto 110... I have a lead on a 95% complete set (camera and all lenses in original box just missing a few of the filters) for $250....
I was thinking about this several months ago but the idea lost some luster when the idea that 110 film and processing availability might be rather poor. Can anyone here convince me otherwise?

My first camera was the 110. I started out with it in JR High. You can always send it to Dewaynes if all else fails. 3.75 for one set of 3.5" x 4.5". Shipping is like $4/roll plus $1 for each additional roll.

I ONLY shoot film and have two k2's & two kx's.

I purchased one of my kx's new in 1975 and it has been in continuous use for 33 years now!

My first camera was a Kodak 126, followed by a 110, also in the late elementary school, through junior high and into high school. I have to assume that the Pentax Auto 110 quality is at least a little better. My impression was also that film choice/availability is also quite limited.

Film choice was always limited even in the 110 heyday. These days its not a big dill since I shoot mainly digital and use the 35mm and 120 for films stuff. I had to find the 110 since I "abandoned" it for the k1000 in 1985. Its a cool little camera and is more nostalga than anything. However, it is a good piece. It looks real cool next to my 6x7!

Edit: It will literally fit in a shirt pocket with a 18mm or 50mm lens on it. The 70mm lens for the auto 110 is on par with a "limited" lens as far as optical quality and build.

Film
Asahi Pentax K1000 (2) / later K1000 (1)
SF1 (attached to an LBA acquisition)

Digital
*istDS (2)
K10D
K20D

Most of my shooting is with the digital Pentaxes these days, however, I do have some film in the freezer and I owe myself some fun.

There are various other film formats, P&S and digital bodies hiding around the place.
