Canon T90. Nearest thing on film that is like a digital camera. The ergonomics are just an absolute delight to use (I've a K5II+grip which comes close), well specified (4.5 frames/sec, spot metering, flash spot metering, full TTL flash). It is the daddy of the Canon film cameras and does more than most of the EOS stuff did, apart from it's manual focus. Mine has been soaked many times when shooting sport - never had a problem with it. It was expensive at the time (£300 for the body in 1989). I've also had things like a T70 and a couple of other Canon film cameras but nothing is like this.
I also used to own a Zenit - my first SLR!

That's OK, you're also the only other one here besides me who shot Miranda, [edit: No, not you, is it?] and I'm *very* odd.

The Konica TC is amuzingly loud in the shutter and I hear better comments on the Konica T3/T4.

Those are still supposedly quite good among Konica fans. Got a T4 right here with the 40 1.8. I guess that's loudish, too.

I still have a Sensorex - very neat camera. I believe the guys starting Orion cooperated with the early Pentax team to use some ideas from each other. I think the Orion T became the Miranda. Still looking for an early Orion...

Actually never heard of 'Orion' cameras at all, and that's probably saying something.

But, yeah, those Sensorexes are kind of like driving an old Lincoln, "There's absolutely no practical reason to be driving this, but they're kinda classy. Look, this camera actually comes with a chrome grill and a vinyl top!" (Among your choices of dim interchangeable viewfinders.) So nice, though.

An exuberance of fine craftsmanship, clever levers, and gagetry, very little under the hood. It's why my uncle gave me his, I'm sure. (Here's to my uncle, by the way. He also first introduced me to the Mamiya 645 when I was knee-high to a Beseler. I do use one of those. (Well, both of those, actually.) )

I shoot with a Pentax K-30 now, and sometimes shot with, of course, a K-1000 in film days. But my main film camera was a Contax 139 with a Zeiss 35mm lens. That was it. Simple, but that combo travelled a lot with me. I still occasionally shoot with it.

It is somewhat sad how many camera companies with a rich heritage just couldn't survive.

Jussi (Nesster) has a Miranda D in his current quiver that he is quite fond of.

Recently I purchased a Nikon F2 Photomic and a couple of classic Nikkor lenses.
They are far more affordable at KEH now than when I used Nikons in the 1980's.

This thread has had me keeping my eye on fleabay and in the last week I've acquired a Nikon FE2, a Nikon FM, and another Minolta XE-7 w/ Rokkor 50/1.4
Forums, ebay, and boredom make a bad combination.
I'll probably end up reselling them since I can't even properly use them, but I do wish I could as they are all superb cameras. I'd much rather be out shooting a K2, FE2, or XE-7 than having to shoot with an A2e or even my MZ-L

Generation gap - I'm still wishing for a digital that handled just like a Spotmatic or Canon FT!
