Film camera with faster than 1/2000s speed + Split screen

Just wondering, which film camera (MF or AF) offers faster shutter speed than 1/2000s and also having nice viewfinder with split screen (comparable to Super-A which I currently have).

Thanks

From Pentax there aren't any that have both, but you can probably insert your own focusing screen. The MZ-S and PZ-1 have 1/6000s / 1/8000s shutters.

I believe the SFXn aka SF1n offers 1/4000th (my SFX aka SF1 offers only 1/2000th) but you'd need to change the screen.

The MZ-3 with the focusing screen from a MZ-M or ZX-M is "respectable" for manual focus. The 1/4000 top shutter speed is not shabby. It is a very likable camera for autofocus lenses, of course. Got mine from England on eBay (it was never sold in US).

Of course, with all the MZ and ZX cameras, you have to factor in the eventual need to replace the mirror-motor gear.

But, you're not going to mistake the finder for the ones in the ME, MX, or LX (best manual-focus finder).
