MX and Metz 50 AF1

Can they work together? Meaning MX to fire the blitz that is set to manual.
Thx.

It should be able to fire, yes.

Sorry, at this moment I am too lazy to look for the specs of the 50 AF1.

So, if this flash is not a SCA flash, or if it is a SCA but not prepared for dual use with either SCA3000 or SCA300 adapters, please ignore this post.

Presently I am using flashes 32MZ-1 and 40MZ-2 with a K200D and a MZ5n. With both flashes and both cameras everything but pTTL works fine in every mode. But ONLY if I use a SCA3701/3702 adapter with the K200D, and a SCA372 adapter with the MZ5n. Using the wrong adapter reduces the available functions, or the flash shows some strange behaviour.

The manuals for the MX and 50 AF-1 would be your best bet. With the MX, you will be limited to fully manual operation based on guide number unless the flash has an onboard sensor to modulate the thyristor.
