Here's my MX. I replaced the awful leatherette with some hand-finished kid leather from Morgan Sparks.
Not to be outdone, here is my colorful Spotty, kit courtesy of Mr. Sparks' competition, Aki Asaki...

Oh...just to mention that this Spotmatic was VERY rough when I got it. Fully a third of the leatherette and simply rotted OFF!

I love it! I thought about snakeskin for the MX, but it definitely looks better on a bigger camera like a spotmatic. Nicely done.

they also did front covers for a couple of P&S cameras (my daughter has one)..

When I decided on a used K-x for my first DSLR I knew I had to have one in color... orange was my first choice.

(Image taken with my so-so Panasonic P&S and processed in LR4. I really need something like the new MX-1.)
The Ricoh dudes must be like innovating colorful cameras...

Woooh, I never seem such a beast as that, it's err... different.

It's a good job we're not all the same, otherwise the would be millions of the same photograph out there.

Kodak was doing this in the twenties and thirties with the Pocket Junior and the Beau Brownie: No. 2 Beau Brownie Camera by Kodak at Historic Camera - History Librarium

This doesn't bode well for Pentax then, look what happened to Kodak.
